As part of my strategic advisory work, I coordinate a circus arts quality-assurance project – often referred to by some as the “Michelin star” of the circus world – known as the BigTopLabel programme. This highly successful and significant initiative recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, marking the occasion with the publication of a visually striking booklet, produced with the support of the world circus federation (FMC – Fédération Mondiale du Cirque). The publication summarises the history of the programme’s development and presents the key characteristics of the circuses that have been assessed and awarded. I was pleased to take on both the content development and visual design of the booklet myself. It was particularly inspiring to have full creative freedom in shaping its style and visual identity. As an added highlight, the very first copy was presented to Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, Honorary President of the FMC, at the gala lunch of the 2026 Monte-Carlo Circus Festival.
